Was listening to the radio this morning around 8.30 and heard this story. St. Joseph’s School in Navan with the help of the HSE are against the construction of a new fast food outlet (KFC) been built right beside their school.
They believe it is promoting a negative image of a fast food outlet been built right beside both a primary and secondary school especially with the rise of obesity among children in Ireland.
Should this be the case everywhere where there should be a promotion of healthy eating or is that the choice of the children?
Really good report by Ella McSweeney here and is well worth a listen to.
